The Routes
of the Inca’s Empire (15 days /14 nights)
A fascinating adventure in Vilcabamba mountains range,
at the northeastern part of Cusco, in a region that
forms two big rivers: Apurimac and Urubamba and divides
highlands of low jungle.
Trekking level : B- C
Our Proposal:
1st Day:
Arrival to Lima
2nd, 3rd and 4th Day:
Flight to Cusco, visit to the city and the surrounding
temples, visit to the ancient salt mines of Maras and
Ollantaytambo town, visit to the colorful indian markets.
5th to 8th Day:
Trekking to Salcantay mountain and the beginning of
the ancient Inca trail to Machu Picchu.
9th to 12th Day:
Trekking through Inca trail visiting Pacaymayo, Phuyupatamarca,
Wiñay Wayna and finally Machu Picchu.
13th Day:
Day at Leisure.
14th Day:
Return to Lima and visit to the colonial and modern
city.
15th Day:
Visit to the fantastic Gold Museum
Suggestions:
Nazca lines, Amazonian jungle, Inti Raymi and local
feasts.
Trekking
to the Misti Volcano
Soft climbing to the Misti Volcano crater of 5,825m
in a easy two-days trekking, leaving from Arequipa city
on the first day, passing through Aguada Blanca, the
National Reserve of Vicuñas and then camp at
4,800m approximately. On the second day you reach the
crater to descend and return at dawn.
Trekking level: Soft
